Especially in this economy, everyone loves saving money! Check out this Web site called MySavings.com, where you can find brand name free samples, printable grocery coupons, online coupons, and other free stuff. To use the site you have to register but registration is free.
What I like most about this site is the printable grocery coupons. I can only print those I want and I don’t have to worry about clipping coupons from the Sunday paper. Check out MySavings.com and let me know what you think.

This is my Dad who died exactly one year ago today. I can’t believe a whole year has passed since his death. It seems like yesterday. I was so happy when I found this photo recently on my SD card. It reminds me of my Dad and is exactly how I want to remember him- happy and healthy. He does not look sick from all of the chemotherapy he had to take for his non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This photo was taken at The Little Write Gal’s 8th birthday party in August of 2008.
Everyone has told me that the pain of his loss will get better over time. I disagree, at least so far. It has been a year and the hole in my heart has not gotten smaller. Maybe what they meant was that I wouldn’t cry every day. The tears have stopped coming on a daily basis now, but there are days when I just can’t help crying. There is a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t think about him or wish he was here. I still can hear his voice in my head and I hope that never changes. Maybe this next year will be less painful. I hope so.
I know my Dad wouldn’t want our family to be sad. He would be amazed at my mother’s courage, and I know he is still proud of my sister and me. If your Dad is still living, please give him a hug for me today. Cherish the time you have together on this Earth. I can’t wait for the day I can see my Dad again when I get to heaven. I LOVE YOU DADDY! ♥
I am so excited to tell you about a company I discovered online called Executees.net. They make the cutest crystal t-shirts and you are sure to sparkle and shine while wearing one! Check out the shirt they sent me for review, a short-sleeved v-neck t-shirt featuring double hearts. Isn’t this the sweetest thing to wear for Valentine’s Day?
All of their t-shirts are made from Genuine Premium CRYSTALLIZED™ Swarovski Elements. This adorable heart tee is available in sizes Small-3X. The regular price of this shirt is $64.99 but currently they are on sale at Executees for $49.99. I love my t-shirt because if you don’t already know from my blog, I am all about some bling. I have some other crystal t-shirts and I have to say that I prefer Executees because you can actually see the crystals on my heart tee. They are not microscopic like some other brands you may have tried. My t-shirt is a BELLA tee and it is super soft. Another thing that I love about their product line is that you can get anything you want blinged out on a t-shirt. If I am lucky enough to be sponsored for Blog-Her ’10, you can bet I am going to have one of these saying “The Write Gal.”
Tracy over at Executees is giving away a v-neck short-sleeved crystal double hearts tee like mine to one lucky Write Gal reader. Here are the details of how to enter:
Visit the Executees Web site and tell me in a comment which shirt is your favorite (other than the Double Heart).
Tell me in a comment something you learned from visiting the Executees site (5 extra entries).
Follow me on Twitter @writegal and tweet my contest (5 extra entries per day). After tweeting this contest once per day, please let me know by leaving 5 comments on this post for that day.
Please leave one comment per extra entry as the winner will be chosen randomly. The contest is open until 11:59 p.m. EST on February 8th. to residents of the United States only. The winner will be notified via email and will have 72 hours to respond back to me. If no response is received another winner will be drawn.
Good luck and thanks for entering! The next time you need to purchase a Swarovski crystal premium t-shirt, be sure and visit Executees and tell Tracy that the Write Gal sent you!
The news circulated this week that actor Rob Lowe is leaving the popular ABC show Brothers and Sisters at the end of this season. I don’t watch much TV but I have been glued to Brothers and Sisters on Sunday nights ever since Rob Lowe joined the show. For four seasons Lowe has played Sen. Robert McAllister, the husband of Calista Flockhart’s character, Kitty McAllister. I am hoping I don’t have to be for long because according to Lowe’s publicist he is in talks with ABC for his own show. Something tells me I am going to be watching!
Are you going to watch Brothers & Sisters without Robert?
I am embarrassed to say that I have been really bad about exercising this past week. I have fallen off the wagon for sure. The best thing to do when you fall off is to pick yourself back up and dust yourself off. So tomorrow is a new day, right?
A big thank you to my friend Tanya over at Mommy Goggles for her inspirational chat today to get me back into the swing of things. She has a great blog and if you aren’t reading it you should be! I will report in later. Good luck to all of my other friends out there who are exercising. We can do this!
Recently I received a beautiful necklace for review from LuShae Jewelry located at www.jewelryartdesigns.com. LuShae offers handcrafted jewelry and specializes in cultured freshwater and saltwater pearls, precious and semi-precious gemstones, and precious metals. You will find a variety of rings, earrings, and pendants on their site. I have to say that I love my Chandelier Pear Cubic Zirconia pendant. It is very elegant and I can tell that it is made from high quality materials. The necklace is made using White Gold Rhodium Bond which according to the company Web site “is achieved using an electroplating process that coats the item with heavy layers of rhodium, a close cousin of platinum that costs three times as much, which gives [the] jewelry a platinum luster.”
One of my favorite things about the Jewelry Art Designs Web site is the description that is available for all of the pieces they sell. You can tell information including the color, carat weight, width, height, and for all necklaces they tell you the type of clasp as well as the necklace length. I like this feature because for so many jewelry sites I have seen you are left to wonder about these features and then your expectations don’t often measure up when you get the item in the mail. With LuShae, what you see is what you get. And their prices are affordable too!
For a limited time if you order you can receive free shipping - worldwide!
They have been playing last night’s ”Pants on the Ground” audition song from American Idol on the radio all day. I can’t seem to get it out of my head. It was hysterical. As Simon said, this won’t be the last we hear of General Larry Platt. Go Larry go! If you missed it, check it out here:
What was your favorite moment from the Atlanta auditions?
Today Fox announced that this season of American Idol will be Simon Cowell’s last. I have to say that Simon was the only reason I watched the show and I will definitely not be tuning in after he leaves. First Paula and now Simon. As far as I am concerned they should just take the show off the air. It just won’t be the same. He was reportedly making $36 million per season for Idol and that is a lot of money to be giving up.
Thankfully Simon fans don’t have to wait long for another dose of his unique charm. Fox announced that Simon’s popular U.K. talent show, “The X Factor,” will be coming to the United States in the fall of 2011 and he will be both an executive producer and a judge. Maybe he can get Ryan Seacrest to host.
Will you be watching Idol without Simon?
My sister took this picture at Disney in December and I think it is gorgeous. I have never been before and am dying to go! Happy WW!

Good News: Last week I was doing great exercising and managed to do it three days in a row! YAY! Bad News: I got sick at the end of the week and was unable to exercise any more because of bad headaches and nausea. More Good News: I lost four pounds (probably because of the nausea and not the exercising- but hey I will take it.)
The Little Write Gal is sick now with a sinus infection so no exercising for me today. Hopefully when she is better I can get back to it. She is Mommy’s biggest motivator.
How are you sticking to your resolutions?
